An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Director at a well-established childcare company located in Ashmore. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Nominated Supervisor in managing the service, ensuring a welcoming environment for educators, families, and children.
In addition the role requires an Assistant Director who can step into the Centre Director position for a 6 month period. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wishes to gain valuable Centre Director experience.
Qualifications:
- Diploma Qualification (Approved by ACECQA)
- Current First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Anaphylaxis Training, and Emergency Asthma Management Training (all approved by ACECQA).
- Current Working with Children Check as required under legislation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and direct the implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs.
- Contribute to the development of center policies through collaboration with the Director.
- Manage day-to-day operations, including Occupational Health and Safety, program planning, and staff training.
- Supervise all employees within the service, undertaking additional responsibilities as needed.
- Support the Nominated Supervisor in monitoring developmental programs, guiding educators, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Proactively problem-solve, find solutions to issues, and communicate effectively with the Nominated Supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, including monitoring learning environments.
- Collaborate with the Nominated Supervisor for continual improvement and identifying areas of change.
- Manage administrative tasks such as family accounts, CCMS approved software, and CCS delivery.
- Conduct center tours, manage enrolments, and facilitate new enrolments with completed paperwork.
- Support various roles within the service, including administration, cook, bus driver, and cleaners.
- Coordinate center events, external contractors, and communication with families via various platforms.
