Are you an experienced early learning professional who’s ready to take their career to the next level, honing leadership skills and helping to build a successful business?
As the Assistant Director, you will use your experience and leadership qualities to engage and motivate your centre team to drive continuous improvement in all aspects across centre operation.
As the Educational Leader, you will work alongside the Educators within your centre to observe practice, review and continuously improve educational programs on offer to children.
You will work in collaboration with your centre leadership team and establish respectful and reciprocal relationships with families and engage in networks within the centre’s local community.
In this role, you will:
• Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care.
• Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team.
• Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director’s absence.
• Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide

Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Byron Bay can be found on Old Bangalow Road, just a stone’s throw from Byron Bay on the way to Suffolk Park. You can’t miss us! We are conveniently located, making the daily drop-off and pick-up a simple, stress-free routine.
Our centre caters to the early learning needs of your child in rooms from Nursery to Kindergarten / Preschool. We have a small group of no more than 33 children in the centre each day and our carers and educators are all well-established locals who are active in the community. All children work with key Educators; and our curriculum, while aligned to the Early Years Learning Framework, is developed, and tailored to the individual needs and strengths of your child.
We believe the holistic development of a child and their successful transition to school is a joint effort between our educators and carers, parents and families, and the broader community. It is important we relate to and work with parents to ensure their child’s needs are met, and everyone in the family is supported and heard during the early learning journey.

You’ll need:
• Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) or a Diploma in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
• Current NSW Working with Children Check
