Following recent internal movement within the Finance team, there has been an opening for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join the team.
About the Role
Responsibilities
- Directing daily financial activity.
- Lead the finance team to complete all necessary financial reporting tasks, including month-end closure, processing of internal group reporting (monthly, quarterly, and yearly).
- Providing training to staff members regarding financial processes.
- Monitoring cash flow and analysing receivables, payables, and inventory levels to ensure they are within acceptable limits.
- Maintaining financial records such as accounting documents, tax records, and other records related to the flow of money in an organization.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards, including tax laws and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Three years of experience in a similar financial position.
- Passed CPA/CA/ACCA certificate.
- A good understanding of financial management obligations, especially statutory obligations, and requirements.
- Be an analytical thinker with strong investigative and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent reporting-writing and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently.
