50/50 hybrid working in office and from home
A family owned solar energy company is seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant for 12 months.
Your new company
A growing solar energy company that has been around for over 50 years is seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant to cover the current post holder whilst they are on leave. The current post holder has been with the company for over 11 years, so this shows how great the culture is. People are at the core of this companies values and the role may go permanent after the initial 12 months as the organisation is seeing exponential growth. They are headquartered in Europe so annual travel to Europe once per year (flexible) would also be a perk of the job.
Your new role
Assist with the preparation of financial statements
Maintain accounts, receivables, or payables
Month-end reporting
BAS lodgement
Prepare reports on the progress made throughout each month
Process journal entries
Oversee payroll
P&L reporting
Liaise with external auditors
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
A CPA would be a bonus
2+ years of experience in accounting or finance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Great computer skills (Exel and their in-house ERP system)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of Accounting principles
