The Role
An outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Company Secretary and Governance Advisor to join a market leading Financial Services organisation. The business provides a highly supportive, and values-based workplace culture, and due to growth a new opportunity has opened for a talented candidate to provide operational board support and regulatory compliance within a close knit Company Secretary team.
Reporting to the Company Secretary and working closely with a range of internal stakeholders including the Executive team and Board, you will be responsible for the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively contributing to and co-ordinating the preparation of board and sub-committee meetings, agendas, papers, minutes and actions
- Supporting the efficient functioning and running of the AGM, Board and sub-committees (eg, calendars, work plan, meeting arrangements and logistics)
- Ensure the Company’s compliance with its statutory obligations under relevant laws and regulations, including statutory records
- Manage registers and records, and completion and lodgement of statutory forms and returns
The Successful Candidate:
- Experienced governance professionals with at least three years’ relevant experience, within the subsidiary or listed space
- Strong relationship skills, particularly at Executive/Board/Committee level combined with a highly developed verbal and written communication skillset
- Experience working with Diligent Board Paper application and document management systems
- Ability to excel within a fast-paced, open and collegiate environment
- Currently holding or will be working toward completing Corporate Governance qualifications
