The Hotel Windsor is an iconic Australian hotel embodying the architecture and elegance of a European-style 'Grand Hotel'. Situated on Spring Street, it is located at the 'Paris' end of Melbourne. Our beautiful hotel is currently seeking an Assistant Front Office Manager to join our team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Room Operations, this position is ideal for an experienced Assistant Front Office Manager with an exceptional understanding of customer service excellence and the expertise to create standards, not simply follow them.
Duties
Responsibilities include:
• Oversee day-to-day Front Office operations, ensuring smooth processes and maintaining operational efficiency.
• Address guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests, prioritising guest satisfaction and fostering a customer-centric atmosphere.
• Raise the bar on guest service, creating moments that resonate long after checkout.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of approximately 20 Front Office Team Members, including Front Office, Duty Manager, Concierge, and Night Teams.
• Maintain a hands-on approach to leadership.
• Foster a thriving workplace culture that encourages positivity and champions continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with various departments, including housekeeping and maintenance, to facilitate effective communication and enhance the overall guest experience.
Skills & Experience
• Minimum of 1-2 years in a similar role in a 5-star hotel.
• Experience with staff supervision and management.
• Superior team-building skills.
• Passion for outstanding customer service.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
• High standard of personal presentation.
• Good understanding of revenue management.
• Advanced knowledge of Opera.
This is a full-time position working across a 7-day roster with alternating shifts.
