The Robina Pavilion is one of the premier food and beverage venues on the Gold Coast, having undergone a significant renovation in 2019. It is the pre-eminent dining, entertainment and gaming venue within Robina and the surrounding suburbs.
Currently the venue boasts a 180 seat Restaurant, Lounge and Sport's bars, 40 gaming machines, Liquor Barn and Drive Thru, plus an outdoor deck all overlooking the lake. All up our capacity tips the scales at 800 guests.
As the Senior Assistant Manager of the Venue, you will be responsible for supporting the Venue Manager in successfully operating a multimillion-dollar business and will have the opportunity to support and grow the business to meet the market demands through your own initiatives. You will implement venue operations on a day to basis by leading the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
This includes effectively allocating work to and supervising employees in all frontline areas of the Pavilion, as well as maintaining and complying with all safety, stock and equipment procedures.
This role is integral to the success of our Organisation. Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Staff management.
· Patron management.
· Overseeing implementation of RSA and RCG practices.
· Customer enquiries and/or complaints.
· Delegation of tasks
· Enforcing and advocating tavern Policies and Procedures; and
· Being a positive team-focused individual who leads by example.
Our successful candidate will demonstrate:
· Previous experience in a similar hospitality management role, ideally working across food, bars and gaming.
· experience with retail liquor and DBS’s
· Relevant experience as either an Assistant Manager of a large volume hotel or Venue Manager of a small to medium sized hotel
· Ability to understand budgets – sales, GP’s, wages, key expenses
· Ability to proactively manage staff.
· Strong planning and organisational skills to lead, develop and manage a large multi-skilled team.
· Operational experience to effectively assist the Venue Manager to achieve financial and business targets.
· Highly developed understanding and ability to deliver on guest expectations and experiences in line with the venue’s visions and goals.
· At least 3 years' experience in a senior management role.
· Current RMLV, Approved Managers, RSA, RCG + TAB Qualifications.
· Sound knowledge of hotel industry and hospitality trends more generally.
