About the Facility
Aegis Shawford has been designed to offer a broad range of accommodation and lifestyle options for 102 residents in four distinct wings.
Nestled in a quiet residential area of Innaloo, it is a vibrant community close a major shopping centre and a host of day trip options. Aegis Shawford is an 'ageing in place' facility and can accommodate a range of care needs. Magnolia wing offers specialist Dementia Care.
Accommodation comprises single rooms with large ensuite bathrooms and air conditioning. The different wings all have lounge and dining areas and access to extensive gardens and patio areas.
About You
You should ideally be an empathetic person who has:
- A positive and friendly personality with a passion for assisting our residents to maintain their quality of life.
- The ability to engage with team members, other professionals, and a wide range of people with both a high level of verbal and written communication.
- The capacity to inspire trust and enjoys interacting with the elderly.
- A focus on delivering excellent customer service to residents, their families, and other external parties.
- Flexibility and can be available on short notice for varied shifts across all days the week.
About the Role
The role will be centred around providing a high-quality lifestyle for residents that aligns with individual resident choices and best practice. You will be making a real impact on residents’ lives, by providing respectful and safe assistance with:
- Daily and meaningful activities.
- Medication administration.
- Mealtimes in line with Aegis’ Excellence in Dining strategy.
Requirements of the Role
- A certificate III in Aged Care (or higher/equivalent).
- Full Australian working rights and able to pass a national police clearance.
- Minimum of 1 Year experience in this role/ or similar roles.
