About the Role
- Responsible for the daily operational efficiency of Langham Service ensuring optimum guest and associate satisfaction.
- Anticipate and resolve problems which impact on guest service. Oversee the safety and security of all guests, associates and assets.
- Oversee Langham Service operations and ensure all organisational policies, procedures and guidelines are adhered to.
You will be self-motivated and self-disciplined and have a natural ability to work within a team environment. You will have an ability to 'think outside the box', multi-task, and be well organized in this busy hands-on role. Of course, excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
You have availability throughout the week and on weekends and understand that a rotating roster of Monday - Sunday is inevitable.
Duties & Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Manage / clean inventory daily, ensure group cut off dates are adhered to, out of order rooms are validated, stay through is available.
- Proactively monitor inventory and rates to ensure availability and implementation of revenue strategy.
- Build and maintain database of rooms and rates, SOPs, standards, hotel matrix, facilities, department systems, hotel promotions.
- Monitor daily performance of reservations and Langham service, with reporting of call and email statistics.
- Manage group reservations, including entering rooming lists and all relevant information to ensure seamless check-in.
- Assume responsibility for the essential Reservations Reports, Commissions, producing of ad-hoc reports.
- Liaise and provide feedback from Travel Agents/Clients/Corporate customers to the Revenue Manager and/or the Sales and Marketing Department in an expedient manner.
- Monitor the daily pick-up & familiarize yourself with the weekly targets & selling strategy rates ensuring Langham Service Agents are aware of their responsibilities in this area.
Skills & Experience
Your skills and experience will include:
- Previous experience in a similar role/ reservations is essential.
- PMS – Opera Experience, highly valued also would be Gumnut and Respak
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Attention to detail, flexible with working hours and reliable.
- Relevant qualifications in Hospitality Management will be highly regarded.
- Possess a high standard of grooming and personal presentation.
