This is a great opportunity for an accomplished leader to move their leadership skills in a fast paced and diverse setting. Hill Street Bar is a local bar located within a 5-star hotel. You need knowledge and skills in a busy service focused venue, a willingness to pass this on to junior staff. This is a hands-on role that requires running shifts, including staff and customer interaction.
Assistant Manager – Hill Street Bar:
Reporting to the Outlets Manager and Director of Food & Beverage and working alongside the F&B leadership team, you will drive and support Food & Beverage operations in your area. You will be responsible for your outlet providing the highest standards of service, ensuring all team members are motivated and trained to provide our guests with a warm and genuine service. Achieved through anticipating their needs by going above and beyond to create memorable moments.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the team by example with a practical leadership style.
- Managing operational service in the outlet ensuring we provide the highest level of guest and customer service in line with our brand values, procedures and standards.
- Develop, inspire and mentor your team.
- Working with the leadership team to drive F&B outlet performance by contributing to our hotel vision, managing costs, identifying and increasing revenue opportunities, developing and implementing continuous improvement.
- Contributing to the development of departmental procedures in coherence with the Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s policies, current legislation and regulations including Responsible Service of Alcohol.
- Responsible for stock control, stock rotation and beverage costs and rostering with consideration of payroll targets.
- Work cohesively with other key departments such as Front Office, Conference and Events operations, Sales teams, and Kitchen to ensure seamless service delivery to all guests.
- Enhancing and applying knowledge of legal compliance, SOP's, WHS, modern award framework and national employment standards.
- Collaborating with the Engineering department to manage and maintain bar facilities to a 5-star standard.
Role Requirements:
- Experience working in an Assistant Manager role.
- A friendly, professional and engaging manner with the ability to stay calm, collected and focused when working under pressure.
- Experience in leading, coaching and training a team including handling any issues sensitively and confidentially in line with the Hotel's procedures and values.
- A practical and operational leader with the ability to lead, mentor and motivate the team.
- A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate and Approved Manager’s License are essential.
- Flexible availability to work nights, weekends and public holidays.
- Desire to create an amazing experience for each guest and the ability to motivate and engage team members to achieve this.
- Have an eye for detail and venue presentation, ensuring impeccable cleanliness and good repair of the outlets, addressing and rectifying any maintenance needs.
- Impeccable grooming and presentation to lead the team by example.
