Tyson Foods Australia (trading as Australian Food Corporation) is one of Australia's leading food processing plants. Tyson Foods Australia is situated in Coominya, a 30-minute drive North of Ipswich in the Shire of Somerset.
An opportunity has become available for an assistant Payroll Officer to assist our current Payroll Manager on a part time basis with the weekly preparation of payroll.
Payroll responsibilities:
- Administrator of the systems – both time keeping (Kronos) and payroll (Sage Micropay)
- Processing weekly payroll
- Preparation of auditor’s spreadsheets / T&A spreadsheets – week comparison reports
- Process payroll month end payments – payroll tax, child support, superannuation
- Prepare monthly headcount report
- Process payroll month end spreadsheets – financial report payroll reconciliations – Workcover, payroll tax, superannuation – updated current spreadsheets.
- Maintaining payroll records and personnel files.
- Recording and tracking administration actual hours for management analysis.
- Posting of end of month payroll journals to JDE ledgers.
- Workcover premium – providing annual reconciliation and projection data to the insurer.
- Providing weekly wages / partial payments to Workcover for all suitable duties cases.
- Project work as required – providing census data to Tyson APAC and Corporate as required on a quarterly basis.
- Maintenance of Employee data within the Tyson Workday System
- Assist the HR team witth workday transactions, recruiting and personnel files
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of accounting functions.
- Working knowledge of payroll industry / legislation / regulations
- Working knowledge of payroll systems – Sage Micropay
- Working knowledge of timekeeping systems - Kronos

You must have or be willing to undertake a Police Clearance for this role
