Robertson Public School is located in Regional South in the Southern Highland of NSW. The school has a student enrolments of 144. Students come from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds with 5% of students identifying as Aboriginal. Extra-curricular opportunities in sport, science and the Environment, STEM, and Creative and Performing Arts, enable our students to excel through a range of different experiences. The school culture is that of connectedness, inclusion and belonging with students, staff, parents and the wider community working together to promote school excellence. Selection CriteriaIn addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary with demonstrated exemplary teaching practice and the capacity to effectively balance the role of classroom teacher with the complex responsibilities of an Assistant Principal.
A proven ability to inspire and mentor experienced and beginning teachers in the implementation of evidence-based practices to improve teaching and learning, while ensuring evidence-informed teaching strategies support individual student progress, achievement, and wellbeing.
A visible and collaborative leader with proven capacity to work as part of a dynamic team; strategically planning, leading and monitoring initiatives, and applying evaluative practices to drive continuous improvement.
Demonstrated ability to lead school initiatives promoting student wellbeing, engagement and positive behaviour underpinned by a restorative philosophy that will contribute to a safe and inclusive school environment with a strong sense of belonging.
Ability to promote equity by recognising the uniqueness of all cultures, languages, and communities, while promoting and embedding mutually respectful relationships between students, staff and the community, with skills to facilitate contextually relevant opportunities that engage parents/carers in the education of their children.General Selection Criteria 1.
