This well-established team consists of a Senior Production Manager who has been with the company for 6 years, a calf rearer and farm hand who has been with the company for 3 years, and a Transport Operator who has been with the company for 4 years.
The Role:
The role involves various aspects of dairy farming, focusing on managing herd health, milking, overseeing dairy IT systems, dairy plant and infrastructure repairs, fodder feeding, and pasture care. Helping with maintenance and repairs of farm plumbing, fencing maintenance, machinery, and irrigation infrastructure operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of dairy farming, be passionate about agriculture, and be a strong communicator.
The Assistant Production Manager is responsible for carrying out daily tasks safely, responsibly, and efficiently. You will work effectively, considerately and cooperatively with other team members and independently as directed. You will be forward-thinking and proactive, contribute to the planning and implementation process and maintain a daily work diary. You shall participate in educational and self-development opportunities applicable to the operation at the manager's discretion. There is potential for the right applicant that this role could lead to a senior Production Manager in the future.
