We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly motivated individual, to join our team as the Assistant Production Manager. You'll be the right-hand person to our Production Manager, working side by side to keep things running smoothly and efficiently. From implementing production timelines to ensuring safety protocols are followed, you'll be at the heart of it all.

What kind of tasks will you be doing?
The successful candidate will become a key member of our small, fast-growing team. The role will be varied, with the core duties including, but not limited to:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the production team to ensure that they’re efficient and maintain a safe working environment
- Ensuring that all production activities are carried out in accordance with the company’s Quality Management System (QMS)
- Managing QMS processes (Non-conformances, CAPAs, Change Controls, Continuous improvement)
- Production scheduling
- Managing inventory across the production floor and coordinating stocktaking activities in consultation with the Procurement Manager
- Coordinating Incoming Goods QC
- Ensuring standard work instructions and procedures are adhered to
- Work instruction drafting and review
- Maintaining team training currency and standards
- Quality reviews
- Undertaking practical and routine production tasks
- Supporting Production Manager in the following:
- Stakeholder reporting
- Premises planning
- Input into departmental strategic planning
Key selection criteria
- Minimum 3 years experience in a hands-on supervisory/team leader role
- Demonstrated experience in sustainable continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles
- Proficient with Microsoft Office/Google Suite
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to support a vision and strategy, and drive its execution
- High attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-moving company and dynamic work environment
