Urban Engineering

The role
Due to continued business growth, we have a career opportunity for a high performing Water Resources Engineer (WSUD) to join our Urban Communities team based in Melbourne. Your primary focus will be to provide technical input, co-ordination and project delivery activities across VIC in collaboration with the wider SMEC business.
With a minimum of 10 years' industry experience, you will possess:
- Technical engineering design expertise: urban drainage & WSUD practices
- Ability to produce written strategic stormwater management reports for master planned Urban Development projects utilising RORB, HECRAS, Music, Tuflow and other modelling software required by Authorities; Candidates must demonstrate proven capabilities to lead discussions with authorities to achieve desirable outcomes for clients and the wider community
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering and the ability to obtain the applicable PE registration obligations
- Knowledge of relevant design codes, Local Regulatory Authority Guidelines and Australian Standards
- A track record of achievement in similar roles with a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and contribute to successful business development
