An exciting opportunity for an Associate Lecturer/ Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer to contribute to teaching into to the discipline of Occupational Therapy within the School of Health SciencesLocated at the Susan Wakil Health Building on the Camperdown CampusFull time and part time continuing position, offering a remuneration package starting from $83, 454 - $167,221 p.a + 17% superannuationAbout the opportunityThe Sydney School of Health Sciences is in a period of exciting and significant investment by the Faculty of Medicine and Health. In addition, The University of Sydney is ranked 18th in the world overall and 2nd in Australia in a wide range of disciplines, our excellence in research, teaching and sustainability makes us one of the top universities in Australia.We are seeking an Associate Lecturer/Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer (Level A, B & C) in the discipline of Occupational Therapy who is enthusiastic to advance health education for the next generation of occupational therapists to improve health outcomes for all communities.This is a continuing Education focused (up to 70%) position and offers an opportunity to dedicate the majority of their contribution to education in Occupational Therapy as part of a multi-disciplinary team at the Faculty of Medicine and Health.Please click the link below-Your key responsibilities will be to:Level A:Engage in high-quality teaching and learning experiences which meet the University’s expectations and standards for educationdesign and deliver multi-disciplinary work-integrated learning units and contentengage in supervision of higher-degree research studentapply scholarship and knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practice to innovate educationcontribute to a positive workplace culture in which diversity of thought, contribution, collaboration, excellence and achieving outcomes are valued and enabledundertake other duties appropriate within the classification level as required.Level B:Design and deliver quality educational units of study and experiences that support student needs and meet curriculum requirementsdevelop educational resources which reflect contemporary and innovative practices within the disciplineapply burgeoning expertise in pedagogy to provide training and support to other academic staff on effective and innovative educational practiceundertake a leadership role in educational innovation, curriculum design and review, contributing to outstanding educational delivery and outcomes.In addition a Level C will:Play a leadership role in educational innovation, curriculum design and reviewdevelop, trial and evaluate innovative practices in teaching and learning with a view to improving educational outcomeengage in innovative curriculum design based on systematic and evidence-based review of contemporary and/or discipline-specific teaching methods and techniques.About youA degree in the discipline of Occupational TherapyClinical experience as an occupational therapist in neurology, community practice, occupational/ work rehabilitation or clinical education highly desirableeligibility for registration with AHPRA Australia or existing registrationr with AHPRA is desirableproven experience in supervising and mentoring studentsexperience in teaching and learning, as evidenced by participation in team teaching and teaching in a variety of settingsa developing network of relationships with key academics, industry and professionals institutions, partners and stakeholdersdemonstrated success in designing, implementing and evaluating teaching and learning initiativesexperience in supervising or mentoring others and/or coordinating team activitieshave a developing knowledge and understanding of the key strategic issues in the discipline and higher education sector.Level B:Broad experience in teaching and learning in a tertiary environment, as evidenced by participation in team teaching within an established program and experience in teaching in a variety of settingsdemonstrated success in designing, implementing and evaluating teaching and learning initiativesextremely well-developed network of relationships with key academic, industry and professional institutions, partners and stakeholdersexperience in supervising or mentoring others and/or coordinating team activities.In addition level C must have:Proven deep and broad experience in teaching and learning, as evidenced by leading team teaching within an established program and experience in teaching in a variety of settingsdemonstrated success in supporting the academic endeavour from curriculum design to engaging in research/scholarship and providing a student enabling environmentsignificant proven experience in supervising others and coordinating team activities.To keep our community safe, please be aware of our which form our conditions of entry for all staff, students and visitors coming to campus.Pre-employment checksYour employment is conditional upon the completion of all role required pre-employment or background checks in terms satisfactory to the University.
