Associate market operations

Artega is a joint venture between Challenger Limited and SimCorp to provide investment administration services to the market.Artega is a technology led investment administration business offering front, middle and back office services to investment managers and asset owners in Australia and Asia. The business currently supports over $100Bn for its clients and has 140 staff located in Sydney and London. The business utilises the SimCorp Dimension software as its core technology platform.The Associate’s core role will be to manage the day-to-day functions relating to internal control and operations control processes.

• Responding, sorting and managing of all queries that come into ******@artega.com.au
• Daily Overdraft (OD) reporting including running of the report (actual and potential), investigating breaks and summarising the breaks in the daily OD huddle.
• Daily investigation of FX date mismatches, assisting of the Back Valuation (BV) process (including SWIFT).
• Daily Value Date (VD) mismatch report, investigating and logging breaks.
• All relevant processes relating to the Claims Register including logging of items and data maintenance.
• Month end tasks including statement requests and updates into the Claims Register. Statement investigations including debit interest and logging of items into the Claims Register.
• Units on Issue AM and PM processes
• Assist with other Operations Control related activities including manual loads, onboarding, account setups of new funds and portfolios, Standard Settlement Instruction management.
• Assist Internal Controls Manager as/when required for activities such as Delegations Matrix, External Instructions, assisting queries coming into ************@artega.com.au, weekly claims meetings.
• Build and maintain a team culture of continuous improvement, working with team members and the Internal Controls Manager to log improvements into the Initiatives Register.

The Team is part of the broader Investment Operations team within Artega.

The team predominately focus on claims and OD management, exception reporting between Dimension and custodian and other provider statements to the business teams.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry
• Understand the key workflows of an investment administration service
• As applicable to the role, a working knowledge of the corporate regulatory environment, governance principles, corporate accountability and conduct frameworks and the process for managing risk.

Experience:

• 1-2 years’ experience in the financial services industry
• Experience with operating Dimension, Smartstream TLM, SWIFT
• Experience with using custodian portals
• Experience using SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Excel

Qualifications / Certifications

• Studying or completed financial related tertiary qualification
