About the role
An exciting opportunity exists to join CALHN within their
dynamic and highly skilled Cardiac Catheterisation Team at
RAH/TQEH. This position will offer you professional growth
opportunities within a supportive and inclusive culture as we
expand our services in 2024 with the TQEH Redevelopment
As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager, you will provide nursing
services within a Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory setting
which has been consolidated by experience and further study,
developing from a proficient to expert practitioner. In this role
you will accept accountability for your own practice standards,
activities delegated to others and the guidance and development of
less experienced staff. You will provide support to the Nurse Unit
Manager in the leadership of nurses in the unit.
As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager you will:
Promote continuity and consistency of care in collaboration
with other ANUM and the Nurse Unit Manager;
Assist the Nurse Unit Manager in the implementation of
practice changes; and
Assist the Nurse Unit Manager in undertaking service
management responsibilities, e.g. performance management
processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering,
work allocation and attendance management; financial and
supplies planning and monitoring.
This CCL has an Emergency 24/7 service for cardiac patients.
Therefore, there is an expectation that Registered Nurses employed
within the CCL participate in an On-Call roster, once deemed
proficient in the area.
Qualifications
Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the
Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who
is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
