- Excellent financial analysis skills, including high proficiency in financial modelling
- Superb quality written work product: coherent, persuasive with high attention to detail
- Application of critical thinking in prioritizing and analyzing investment opportunities
- Ability to rapidly prepare and assimilate industry and competitive research
- Draft investment committee reports while supervising external resources in the process
- Interact with third party due diligence partners (tax professionals, attorneys, technical consultants, insurance, environmental, etc.)
- Flex both upwards and downwards when required in order to coordinate the investment process and ensure every aspect of the work is completed successfully
- Act proactively in all matters arising in the ordinary course of investment management, acting quickly to identify, address and correct issues
- Lead construction of detailed, business unit-based financial models, including optimal capital structure, purchase price, adjustments and sensitivities to economic conditions
- Assist and support the Investment Leader in negotiating debt facilities, purchase agreements, commercial and employment agreements for portfolio companies
- Identify and evaluate strategic opportunities such as acquisitions, divestitures, or entering new market/verticals and provide support in investment exit process
- Role will suit candidate with investment banking or PE background in Senior Analyst / Associate capacity having completed large bank Analyst / Associate training program(s)
