The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering effective teaching across a broad spectrum of Software Engineering courses, including but not limited to software development, machine learning, computer systems, and networks. You will play a pivotal role in course design and development, proposing and crafting new courses that meet our educational objectives, such as Requirements Analysis, Software Process and Quality, Programming and Trustworthy AI Software Systems, among others.Associate Professor/Professor in Software Engineering (Education Focused) dedicates the majority of their contribution to teaching and teaching-related activities (up to 70%), with a minimum of 20% research and 10% governance, service, and engagement. Additionally, they will mentor junior academics, providing advice on teaching methodologies, education research approaches, publications, and career advancement.Successful candidates will join the Sydney Horizon Educators cohort. Your responsibilities will also include curriculum review and improvement, leveraging student feedback to enhance instructional materials continuously.The role demands active engagement with educational technology, upholding academic integrity, and contributing to educational committees. You will exhibit education leadership, guiding the School, Faculty and University in strategic planning, setting educational goals, and shaping educational policies and initiatives. Additionally, you will mentor junior academics, providing advice on teaching methodologies and career advancement.Your commitment to research and scholarship in educational methodologies, technology, and pedagogical approaches within Software Engineering will be fundamental.
