As Assurance Senior Advisor, reporting directly into the Senior Partner Assurance – Risk in Change, you will play a pivotal role in providing accurate and real-time insights to key internal stakeholders, on delivery and delivered risks and controls, frameworks, and processes. You will have a strong focus on advocating a customer centric risk culture by assisting in embedding an operating and engagement model with the business that sees the Strategic Investment Assurance team as a key partner to Transformation division and the Programs and Projects it supports.
You will:
- Health checks and targeted program and project reviews accordance with the Line 2 Assurance plan, working collaboratively and in partnership with the Operational Risk Team and the broader business.
- Leverage existing data sources of information (i.e. risk register, incidents, policies and procedures etc.) to conduct assurance.
- Pro-actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement & assist in advancing the maturity of the assurance landscape.
- Conduct reviews of Line 1 Assurance.
About you
Your success in this role will rely on your background in Assurance, Risk Management, and/or Audit specifically with financial Programs and Projects, coupled with the ability to drive and influence business outcomes through strong stakeholder relationship building and engagement.
You bring energy and passion and are always looking to find solutions for the future. You aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves to work with your team to make sure that your objectives are delivered effectively. You are self-driven, inquisitive, motivated and have a customer-centric approach to work, always keeping the customer in mind.
The following attributes are also key for this role:
- Experience with risk and compliance frameworks within financial programs and project management.
- Working knowledge of internal frameworks and policies and existing regulatory landscape.
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience within the Banking and Finance industry.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities at any one time in a constantly changing environment.
- Qualifications in business, finance, commerce or a related field.
