Form of workOur client is seeking a Senior Manager for Enterprise Risk and Assurance, tasked with strategically advancing the client's risk vision to enhance value and foster a culture that establishes desired risk-taking behaviours throughout the organization.
The role involves influencing organizational processes to cultivate a culture that aligns with expected risk behaviours and promotes continuous improvement in line with organizational values. This is a strategic role leading an internal audit and risk management function within public sector.
In this role, the suitable candidate will strategically design and oversee the client's risk management policy and framework, providing specialized advice to support informed decision-making. You will establish governance structures and implement internal controls to manage risks effectively as well as work on integrating risk management into corporate processes, ensuring scalability and effectiveness. Additionally, you will advocate for safety and well-being, fostering a respectful workplace culture and implementing safety standards. You will also provide advanced expertise to influence stakeholders, lead risk management initiatives, and communicate effectively in internal and external forums.
The successful candidate will have a postgraduate degree or relevant industry certification with extensive relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and high-level relevant experience in an accounting, risk management/assurance or audit-related field. You will also have extensive knowledge and understanding of insurance programs as well as experience in leading and managing a team of professionals to achieve organizational goals.
If successful you will be required to submit proof of COVID vaccination (3 doses), 2 x reference checks and a valid national police check.
