What you'll be doing
The Administration Officer is responsible for providing administrative support to the Audiology Manager and staff of the Audiology Department. In addition, the Administrative Officer will manage the daily workload for Hearing Support Administrative Officers under guidance from the Audiology Manager. The position is also responsible for assisting with the preparation of meetings, frontline triaging of patients, daily Medicare billing and administrative management of all patients.
Working knowledge of Audiology Services or prior experience working with Deaf families is preferred
- Demonstrated Excellent organisational skills and skills in office administration including the ability to prioritise numerous and competing tasks, maintain accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to be able to triage and manage issues as they arise and an extensive understanding of patient management
- Demonstrated Excellent written and verbal communication skills including excellent interpersonal skills, being able to manage difficult people and situations
- Demonstrated Excellent understanding and use of MS Office Systems
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Previous internal computer systems (i.e iPM, EmR, Powerchart, HealthRoster, PBRC) would be an advantage
