The Audit Manager role is critical to making this happen by conducting research and fieldwork for assigned audit areas of medium technical difficulty, contributing to the assessment of the risk profile and controls of the designated business area.
ANZ NZ Internal Audit provides independent, objective and risk focused assurance to ANZ New Zealand’s Board Audit Committee. We aim to deliver differentiated internal audit services through harnessing the power of digital and data. We believe in commercially understanding the risks, issues, and opportunities across the Bank.
Our high-performing team execute high quality, risk focused assurance work, providing management with powerful insights and recommendations for improving the control environment in line with the Bank’s strategic objectives.

Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Up to 5 years’ experience in an assurance focussed role, gained in a professional services firm or comparable industry.
- Strong understanding of the Banking industry, and how banks operate.
- Basic skills in data analytics, and ideally some prior experience with the use of BI tools.
- Good stakeholder management skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Tertiary level qualification in a discipline of finance, law, computing, or data science, with relevant professional accreditation, or working towards (such as CA, CIA or CISA).
