Role Description:
MiTek are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Melbourne, Australia Working within the industrial automation business area, you will be leading the execution of medium to large size projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with MiTek policy. Including regulations and standards, contractual agreements and obligations, agreed scope of work, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments.
Responsibilities:
- Implement systems to ensure efficiency in areas such as project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
- Monitoring and controlling project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow
- Planning and tracking all project activities, establishing scheduling risks and opportunities to deliver projects on time according to commitments to the customer.
- Identifying qualifying, quantifying, and managing project risks and ensuring that all opportunities are identified and pursued.
- Provide regular, transparent project performance reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with design engineers, technicians, site supervisors, commission engineers and contractors as required on a project-by-project basis.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders.
- Manage the monitoring of quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material, check working drawings, construction and specifications against site plans and conditions and arrange corrections or modifications where necessary.
- Ability to handle conflict with a solution focused attitude and achieve a positive, business value-added outcome.
- Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by management staff.
Core Competencies:
- A minimum of 5 years in project delivery in a similar industry/environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex mechanical problems.
- Capable of working in various CAD packages, including AutoCAD eDrawings.
- Understanding of the requirements of machinery installations, SAT, FAT and Commissioning
- Exposure to Materials handling related design projects, in both the Greenfields and Brownfields space.
- Technical aptitude, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to think outside the box.
- Excellent organisational, communication, teamwork, and time management skills
