About the role
Reporting into the Autonomous Haulage Project Manager responsible for the development and operation of the Autonomous Long Combination Vehicles (ALCV) system, MinRes will require the services of a safety professional with experience in operations involving Autonomous Mobile equipment to advise on the risks and controls required for the safe development, testing and operation of the Autonomous Long Combination Vehicles (ALCV) solution.
Define the safety controls and procedures for the safe operation Autonomous Road Trains for MRLs Onslow Iron Project.
Support the operation and inform the design, deployment, and operational safety controls for each time the ALCV solution is deployed as a service
Analyse operational data and metrics to identify operational process improvements that can lead to increased safety and reduced costs and work with operations teams to trial and implement new processes.
Advise and assist line management to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations and all other associated Regulations, Codes of Practice, and MinRes policies, standards, guidelines and management procedures
Keep the project informed of all legislative change. Maintain a register of all formal appointments on site to ensure legislative obligations are met.
What you’ll bring to the team
Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
Knowledge of HSE quality and training legislative requirements
Demonstrated experience in working in an Automation development project Operational support role
knowledge of or an understanding of Safe operation of Autonomous mobile equipment and associated in mining in Western Australia is preferred
Experience with INX HSEQT management software
