Automotive (Heavy Diesel) Mechanic Apprenticship

The Opportunity:

Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre have a vacancy for a Heavy Diesel Mechanic Apprentice with our host company based in the Albury area.

Location: Albury, NSW

  Duties may include:  

• Communicating with vehicle operators on problems 
• Repairing, adjusting, maintaining, and testing large automotive vehicles such as buses, trucks, tractors, agricultural machinery, and earthmoving equipment 
• Using special instruments to identify mechanical and electrical problems in vehicles, faults in ignition, batteries, speed control, cylinder compression, fuel injection systems, braking mechanisms, wheel alignment, and engine condition 
• Repairing and maintaining hydraulic parts of diesel, petrol, or gas engines 
• Utilising an array of electric, oxy, MIG and TIG welding, machining, or hand fitting processes to replace or fix faulty parts of vehicles. 

  About You:

• Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
• Drivers Licence required 
• Completion of Year 10 High School
• Willing to undertake police check and pre employment medical if required
