Experienced Automotive Mechanic
PR Technology is one of Australia's leading Independent Porsche specialists, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled & motivated person to join our team as a Automotive Technician. PR Technology provide a range of services from late model servicing, restoration & motor sport preparation. Ideally you will have Porsche experience. Your attention to detail will allow you thrive in an environment that demands excellence. The team has been responsible for the build and preparation of three time winning WTAC car RP968, multiple GT cars, Porsche and other makes including Ginetta and Radical cars. The role has a huge opportunity for learning and branching out into different areas i.e. Tuning (with our in house Dyno), fabrication, restoration, auto electrical, engineering etc. The team is housed in a facility based in Brookvale on the northern beaches of Sydney.
Being located close to the workshop would be seen as an advantage.
Responsibilities and Duties
Preparation of racing vehicle for a variety of events. Attention to detail is mandatory.
Must be able to diagnose pending mechanical trouble before it occurs.
Must take pride in the appearance of properly prepared assemblies.
Will operate and maintain support equipment as needed.
Must ensure that all procedures are performed in accordance with safety guidelines.
Must document work with in-house records system.
Will maintain organization and cleanliness of work area.
Conduct vehicle servicing, major & minor repairs
Qualifications and Skills
Must be qualified mechanic.
Experience with Porsches is highly regarded
Must own personal tool collection with which to perform work.
Must have experience with personal computers and software.
Must be able to work well with others or independently.
Analytical abilities sufficient to handle complex technical and administrative details.
Must be willing to travel to perform off-site service on assigned detachment, work occasional weekends, holidays or shifts that include Saturdays/Sundays at race tracks as part of the workweek.
Must have a good command of the English language, both written and oral.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must be customer oriented, motivated and work with minimal supervision or guidance.
MOST OF ALL must be eager to learn and have a dynamic positive attitude.
The role suits an individual who obtains a 'can do' and 'team playing' attitude. This is a technically challenging role and you must be open to a flexible approach to working hours to meet deadlines as and when production demands require.
