Our dedicated team of operational paramedics ensures an always-on service across the state, responding to medical and trauma emergencies outside of hospital settings.
Your new role
As a Rostering Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient rostering and staffing for my client's operations. Based in the Hobart CBD, you will collaborate closely with the Program and Planning division, supporting the Rostering Officer in maintaining seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
Rostering Management:
- Assist in daily rostering activities for operational paramedics and support staff.
- Update and maintain the roster database, ensuring accuracy of support worker availability, consumer preferences, and leave requests.
- Monitor hours worked by support staff to comply with industrial relations obligations.
- Maintain a roster changes log to track updates and adjustments.
- Excel Expertise:
- Utilise advanced Excel skills to manage and manipulate roster data efficiently.
- Create and maintain spreadsheets for rostering purposes.
- Collaborate with the Rostering Officer to optimise rostering processes using Excel functionalities.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience and Qualifications:- Previous rostering experience is essential.
- Familiarity with rostering systems and tools.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in rostering for a large organisation will be highly regarded.
- This is a full-time role for an initial three-month period.
- There is a likelihood of extension based on performance and organisational needs.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
- Previous rostering experience.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Desirable:
- Experience in rostering for a large organisation.
