Form of workAquis Park Home of the Gold Coast Turf Club hosts some of Queensland's pinnacle racing events, such as Jewel Raceday, Hollindale Stakes, and The Summer Magic Millions Carnival (a raceday with over 11 million in prize money and over 20,000 attendees annually), approximately 50 race meetings a year and planning to hold night race meetings mid 2024.
We provide an impressive event venue, with over 20 different event spaces and an abundance of outdoor areas and lawns. Situated on a luscious and green 34-hectare site in the heart of Surfers Paradise, we are a mere stone’s throw away from the Gold Coast's most iconic beaches.
Banquets and Events Set Up Team Member
Looking for reliable trustworthy people to join our Set Up Team, flexible to work up to 5 days a week and able to commit to casual sifts that are generally - Tuesday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm and Saturday minimum of four hours each shift. Opportunities for permanent employment can become available for the right employee.
Our Set Up Team Member job involves:
- Set up and pack down of events and activities
- Set up tables, chairs and equipment in assigned area correctly and uniformly
- Lift and move furniture and equipment into and out of venue spaces
- Stacking and storing safely all furniture and equipment
- Listen and follow instructions and work at a good productive pace
The Person:
- Must be reliable and on time for all shifts
- Ability to perform physical duties, including heavy lifting duties up to 20kgs and repetitive manual tasks safely
- Previous food & beverage, conference & Events experience desirable
- Be friendly, helpful, honest and have a team effort first focused attitude
- Take pride in your work and attention to getting work done to a time deadline
- Current QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate, essential
