The Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Full-TimeBanquets Supervisor to assist our Banquets Operations Manager in overseeing our in-house events, ensuring exceptional customer service to deliver memorable experiences for our guests.

Your day-to-day:

  • Collaborate with the Sales and Catering department to understand client requirements and preferences to deliver 5-star service.
  • Conduct pre-function and post-function briefings with team members to ensure seamless execution.
  • Oversee all logistical aspects of events including room step, audio-visual equipment, decorations and seating arranges, while also coordinating with other hotel departments.
  • Supervise banquet staff to ensure proper training and adherence to service standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during events, overseeing the proper handling of food and beverages in adherence with food safety guidelines.
  • Maintain all banquet records, conducting post-event evaluations to gather feedback from clients and guests to continuously improve our offering.

Our successful candidate with have:

  • Previous experience in hotel banquets within a 5-star property.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to supervise and lead a team effectively.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to multitask and collaborate well with a team within a high-pressure environment.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional service while continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes, optimise guest satisfaction, and drive profitability.
  • Excellent time management and planning skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food safety guidelines.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster dependant upon event schedules, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  • A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate and a Food Handler certificate.
