You have the following qualities & qualifications:
Manage and oversee the safe day-to-day operation of the site ensuring the correct processes and procedures are in place to allow the team to work safely and autonomously.
- Engage with the Site team daily to provide feedback
- Key point of Escalation for Drivers reporting injuries, hazards and conflict
- Conduct training and on- boarding for new employees.
- Develop and manage the overall fleet operation
- Oversee the timely pick-up and delivery of all products
- Drive continuous improvement through ongoing analysis of operating costs and improvement of existing systems and
- Closely monitor site times for efficiency at collection and delivery points.
- Approve leave requests for drivers and manage the team roster.
- Strictly adhere to the requirements of the quality system (HACCP) implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Develop and maintain a multi-tiered relationship across both our internal and external customers.
- Provide operational expertise and support for members of your team.
- Notify and complete any damage reports to customer.
- Strong focus on safety and compliance.
- Ability to build and maintain high level client, site and stakeholder relationships.
- Proven skills and experience in people leadership
- Proven experience managing a compliant, demanding, site and / or distribution centre.
- Solid understanding of the transport business sector.
- Medium Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- A positive “Can Do” attitude.
