Primary Purpose
The primary function of the Qube Energy Site Manager, BBMT is to manage the Operational activity and associated resources in the Barry Beach Marine Terminal Site. The role will be a key customer interface for the Qube Energy business connecting with and delivering exceptional service quality to Oil and Gas clients and Supply Chain stakeholders with operational interests in the area. The role of the BBMT Site Manager will oversee business interests within the Shore base assets located in BBMT. This includes ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory safety compliance as per Qube Energy’s safety frame work and supporting our people to be the best in class.
Specific Responsibilities
- Manage Qube Energy’s BBMT business interests in line with Qube’s values, Respect, Reliability, Inclusion.
- Ensure operational excellence is achieved through generating a Thriving culture based on Qube’s guiding pillars of Safety, Wellbeing, Planet, Performance and Opportunity.
- Ensure Qube Energy Safety Management systems are fully implemented and compliance maintained.
- Maintain operational excellence within the BBMT facility.
- Actively seek to be involved in Continuous Improvement through ensuring the deployment of best practice, elimination of waste, technological advancement, supporting Qube to be best in class.
- Significant customer interface focus with a solution based mindset.
- Maintain healthy relationship with internal stakeholder group where working together is embraced at every opportunity.
- Observe, direct, and correct operating behaviour of employees as required to ensure safe work practices
- Conduct and participate in toolbox talks as required in order to communicate key operational issues
- Observe Qube policies and procedures as they apply to tasks assigned
- Operate facility in a safe manner at all times, ensuring that any safety breaches or incidents are reported immediately
- Ensure compliance is maintained to the Preventative Maintenance equipment and asset schedule
- Coordinate use and management of assets and staff to ensure profit objectives, site needs
and upcoming projects are met. - Ensure growth by retention and extension of existing client business and establishment of new business partners.
- Identify all business risks and develop appropriate management strategies to minimize
exposure. - Participate in the negotiation of site-specific Enterprise Agreement.
- Proactively attend meetings and provide positive support for initiatives consistent with contractual guidelines
- Respond to any issues raised in an efficient and positive manner
Quality
- Set high work standard through leadership by example
- Oversee Efficient operation of the branch’s vehicles and plant
- Complete all necessary associated documentation
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of deficiencies in the delivery of product
- Undertake supervision of work
- Ensure good care is taken of vehicles/plant under your care
Finance
- Assist in allocation of resources to improve operational and financial performance and monitor regularly
- Monitor and report monthly performance, including, but not limited to, KPI’s, downtime, bottle necks, breakdowns, customer and personnel related issues that may have a financial impact on the business
- Control business costs and keep these as low as possible.
- Own and manage a budget including monthly P&L reporting, maintaining or exceeding budget expectations through producing positive financial results.

- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment and operate plant equipment safely

- Participate in relevant safety training and maintaining your safety related competencies
- Engage in Work only when in possession of required and current Certificates of Competence

Qualifications
- Extensive experience in a similar role with a proven track record of success in managing operations
- Extensive experience in managing Supply Chain, Supply Base and or Shore base operations
- Shore base Marine interface experience highly desirable
- Current valid Motor Vehicle Driver’s License
Experience
- At least 5-7 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the Oil and Gas industry or a related sector
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve organizational goals
- Sound knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements related to safety, environmental compliance, and operational standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking capability.
- Profit and loss (P+L) management experience
