Position: Business Development Manager
Location: Sydney, NSW
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the education, insurance, council/government, retail, and other relevant sectors to generate growth and revenue.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, developers, and other stakeholders in these sectors.
- Create and implement strategic business development plans tailored to each sector to achieve company goals.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and sector-specific opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients in the targeted sectors.
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure seamless transition from acquisition to execution.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to expand business contacts in the relevant sectors.
- Track and report on business development activities and progress toward targets.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a business development role within the construction industry, with a focus on the education, insurance, council/government, retail, or other relevant sectors.
- Strong understanding of the Commercial Construction market and industry trends, particularly in the targeted sectors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders in various sectors.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
