City of Gold Coast Council are looking for beaches and Foreshore Maintenance Workers
Your new companyHays Specialist Recruitment is currently seeking applications from experienced Labourers to work within the City of Gold Coast's Infrastructure Maintenance division in a Beach and Foreshore Maintenance role. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside Australia's second-largest local government and one of our city's largest Organisations.
Your new role
Your new role as a Beach and Foreshore Maintenance worker will have you performing but not limited to:
- Maintenance and construction of timber structures including dune fencing, access steps, boardwalks, viewing platforms, jetties and pontoons.
- Maintenance of Councils tidal storm water drainage systems, including revetment walls, boat ramps, tidal channels and flood structures.
- Collection and disposal of debris, spills, litter and dead animals
- Planting, pruning and or removal of dune vegetation
- Controlling public worksites
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Hold a Construction White Card
- Hold a C class driver's licence
- 6 - 12 months experience in maintenance type roles
- Up-to-date resume with 2 x references
