What's the role?
We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence and Data Analyst to join our dynamic team at Australia's most influential media organisation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, business intelligence tools, and a knack for translating business requirements to visualisations and reporting solutions. The BI and Data Analyst will play a crucial role in gathering, analysing, and presenting business data to support strategic decision-making for the National Advertising Sales teams and the Commercial Finance team.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data and reporting solutions.
Design, develop and maintain BI dashboards and reports using Tableau and Google Looker Studio to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Work with large datasets and Databases to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data for analysis.
Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
Assist in data transformation projects by conducting UAT testings in Google Big Query, migrating dashboard data sources to GCP and redesigning data solution workflows to fit into the cloud environment.
Maintain & enhance existing financial models, financial data processes and dashboard reporting while continuing to increase data literacy across the business.
Who are you?
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics or a related field or proven experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or in a similar role.
Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Google Looker Studio or similar.
Strong SQL skills for data querying and analysis.
Experience in Google Cloud Platform and Python.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Proven track record working on initiatives that start only with a defined outcome.
