With this, we are excited to announce that we have an open position for a government/commercial tenders estimator to join the growing team.
The position of a government/commercial tenders estimator requires an individual who is detail-oriented, quality driven and has extensive experience with product sourcing and executing tender opportunities. A strong candidate will also have prior knowledge of supply chains and strong negotiation skills when communicating with suppliers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and collate tender documents.
- Researching, evaluating, liaising and negotiating with key suppliers to source tender opportunities for stock/products
- Sourcing of Products and Negotiation of Prices
- Build and sustain strong relationships with suppliers
- Maintain registrations to government organisations and tender websites to monitor the tender market and identify upcoming projects
- Work closely with the team; a key part of this role will be able to communicate with teams to ensure strict deadlines are met.
- Prepare accurate and compelling responses to RFT's, EOI's, RFP's.
- Writing content, proof-reading and formatting tenders prior to submission
- Collaborating with the sales team to build and enhance client relationships.
Eligibility & Skills:
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in sales/tendering in Australia
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record in sales and relationship management
- Minimum 1-year Experience in writing tenders in Australian Government tenders
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
- Intermediate computer skills using MS Office suite
- Valid Drivers licence (required)
- Ability to travel regularly
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Reliable, trustworthy, flexible and dependable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability quickly develop collaborative relationships
