The Opportunity

Join our rapidly growing and successful company as we continue to grow our business. We are seeking multiple contract Tender Managers and writers able to lead and support our tender responses across government outsourced employment, allied health and training services. Specialist expertise working with First Nation organisations and people is highly valued. These are remote opportunities so you can work from most locations including Sydney, Melbourne, Tasmania or Brisbane. Ideally you will have your own ABN. The positions will be available on a casual contract basis potentially requiring short term, part-time engagement, followed by full time engagement for up to 6 weeks at a time when responding to tenders.

We are looking for experienced, talented and dedicated individuals with excellent project management and SharePoint skills to join our Business Development team. As a Bid Manager, you will have the flexibility to indicate your availability and choose the tenders you work on to meet your lifestyle and commitments.

Bid and Tender Managers will work with the Executive Director Business Development to execute a strategic, high quality, compliant response, designed to maximise prospects of success to drive business growth.

The roles will be instrumental in the positive promotion of Asuria’s services including building on existing services and entering new markets. This may include supporting our First Nations owned Joint Ventures and international operations.

Key Accountabilities 

  • The Bid and Tender Manager is responsible for identifying and responding to tenders and proposals
  • Lead a team of internal and contractor tender and bid writers
  • Supporting the Executive Director Business Development to identify and introduce new business opportunities to drive growth and enhance Asuria’s market position and reputation
  • Research and develop prospective new services to expand Asuria’s offering
  • Develop an intimate understanding of industry complexity, political drivers, culture, clients, issues, risks, needs, constraints and objectives
  • Consult with key internal stakeholders in strategic business planning activities to develop competitive strategies (short and long term), clear objectives, supporting activities and a plan that focuses on the achievement of business growth
  • Facilitate the establishment and implementation of a winning bid strategy and value for money solutions, driving the development and formation of unique and compelling value propositions. This includes identifying opportunities, managing bid delivery, contract awarding and supporting the implementation/transition of new services

What sets you apart from the rest?

  • Min 3 years experience successfully leading tenders and bid management for State and Commonwealth Government customers ideally in employment, health, training and outsourced government human services sector
  • Strong background in Business Development and solutioning and a demonstrated understanding of products, services and innovation within the Government Employment Services, Education and training and allied health sectors
  • Experience managing large tender responses including working with internal stakeholders to develop service delivery models, pricing and innovative responses to meet customers needs
  • Background in Employment Services Industry - Highly Regarded
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Business Management or related discipline
  • Proven ability to identify, introduce and grow new business opportunities, including identifying and responding to advertised tender and grant opportunities
  • Proven and successful ability in writing winning tenders
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team of tender writers and contributors
