We are seeking a suitably experienced BIM Manager to join our team.
With over two billion dollars' worth of work in hand and a healthy pipeline of future projects ahead, our western region is experiencing an exciting period of growth. To help support this growth we are seeking to bring a number of suitably experience Digital Engineering professionals into our business to work on major projects within the Perth metro area.Reporting into the Digital Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and utilisation of BIM technologies, tools and processes and ensuring projects achieve the required deliverables.
Main position roles and responsibilities:
- Utilise market knowledge and research to identify innovative digital design and construction technology and methodologies that support business competitiveness strategic goals.
- Capture innovation and create compelling digital solutions that can be delivered through design and construct activities.
- Assist to Manage and maintain standards and templates defining minimum requirements for utilising each of the digital components operated within the business.
- Assist collaboration across the development/project management/ design/construction management activities and the broader ICT community.
- Understand where new technologies have been successfully utilised and how they have been adapted or could be adapted to suit the design and construct process.
- Perform quality control on design project and construction models and advise project team on modelling issues with regards to BIM suitability of models including the federated model delivered for the Design team.
- Develop strong networks and partnerships both internally and externally to ensure the continual capture of knowledge and innovation that will enable the business to maintain its leadership in the use of digital and disruptive technologies
What Capability & Experience will you need to have:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the construction industry, with abilities in BIM, project close-out and technology management
- Strong understanding of construction planning and development process
- Exposure to and extensive experience with implementation of digital engineering technologies including requirements for consolidation of digital information to create value for design and construction activities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written and ability to work well in a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to problem-solve
