Job description
The Board Support Officer provides secretariat support for all the TSRA board meetings and the Project Steering Committee (PSC) collating and coordinating papers from across the Agency. The role also works closely with the strategic policy unit to undertake research, coordinate and draft briefings, committee papers, parliamentary Questions on Notice and other correspondence and corporate documents for the TSRA as required.
The key duties of the position include
The Board Support Officer will be able to work independently and confidently to the following duties.
1. Provide secretariat support for all the TSRA Board related meetings and the Project Steering Committee, including research and preparation of papers and material.
2. Coordinate and maintain the Audit Committee audit tracker, project and programme risk registers and where required provide input into project plans.
3. Work with the strategic policy unit to coordinate and draft:
a. Ministerial briefings and responses to the Minister's Office for ad hoc information requests;
b. Parliamentary Questions on Notice;
c. Senate Estimates briefs;
d. Senate and Government Inquiry submissions on behalf of the Agency;
e. Executive correspondence; and
f. Reporting and ad hoc requests from the National Indigenous Australians Agency.
4. Manage the Governance and Leadership Programme contracts in line with the TSRA procurement policy.
5. Any other duties as directed by the supervising Project Manager, Governance and Leadership, across the team during periods of increased workload.
