We provide a broad range of Project Management and Engineering solutions across a wide variety of Industry Sectors including Defence, Industrial, Mining, Marine, Oil & Gas, and Water Technology.
We are currently seeking applications for suitably qualified and experienced Boilermaker/ Welders with extensive Workshop/ Marine fabrication experience to join our great local team.
The Role
You will possess a commitment to work as a team player, be adaptable to a changing environment, have the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and be prepared to work overtime and in remote locations when required to carry out the following duties;
• Reading and interpreting drawings or taking verbal instructions to mark out, cut, weld and assemble steel;
• Perform welding in accordance with approved weld procedures and codes;
• Interpret welding symbols to ensure correct welding techniques;
• Carry out basic maintenance of welding machine and equipment to keep a clean and safe work area; and
• Follow all workshop and site safety requirements.
The successful candidates must have previous workshop experience and be able to demonstrate the following essential personal attributes and skills:
• Sound knowledge all aspects of fabrication, including structural, plate work & piping with carbon steel & exotic materials
• FCAW/GTAW/MMAW welding experience
• Trade Qualified
• 5+ years’ trade experience
• Physically fit & enthusiastic
• Ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and efficient manner
• Identify and report potential safety hazards and take appropriate actions
• Confinded Space Entry and Working Safely at Heights
Desirable Tickets (not essential)
• Elevated Work Platform
• Recognised training certification in rigging, dogging & forklift
• Light Ridged Drivers licence
