Job Description for Bookkeeper for Clifton Springs
- Develops an understanding of the business and the Bookkeeping role at Clifton Springs
- Effectively documenting work performed/ create procedures and follow procedures that are in place
- Identifies task issues as well as task progress in a timely and organized manner. Works as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks within timeframes as required
- Excellent organization skills
- A methodical approach and attention to detail
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Understanding of job/department costing
- Experience with MYOB software, (asset management software, payroll and budgeting software)
Duties and responsibilities to managing financial records for Business may include:
- Review of monthly result in MYOB and compare to budgeted figures
- Preparation of monthly management report for monthly committee meeting
- General administration duties
- Ensuring that the MYOB file is kept up to date
- Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software or databases then filing hard copies
- Paying of vendor invoices
- Reconciliation of all bank accounts
- Maintenance and recording of additions to fixed assets
- Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the Accountants of errors
- Recording any inconsistencies to help the Accountants reconcile inaccuracies
- Managing employee expense claims
- Maintenance of monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
- Payment of superannuation by its due date
- Lodgments of monthly returns and payment of payroll tax
- Preparing of annual financial statements
- Preparation of annual budget (Calxa)
