Bookkeeping and Inventory Management
Axess Trading is a leading supplier to the healthcare industry located in Ferntree Gully.We are currently seeking an enthusiastic part time Bookkeeper to join a small, thriving family-owned business.
This is an interesting role, if you have an accounting or bookkeeping background, are a self-starter, have a background in Bills of Materials and have attention to detail, then this part time job is for you.
Take Control of the following Duties:
You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounts and administration functions such as:
- Accounts payable local and international
- International shipping and foreign exchange reconciliations
- Quarterly preparation of BAS
- Quarterly Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reporting
- Weekly Bank reconciliations
- Stock control – Manage and maintain Bills of Materials, BOM Costings, Price Lists
- Manage annual stock take and adjustments in MYOB
- Oversee AR and assist with questions where necessary
- Overflow phone calls, assist or take messages
Attributes we are looking for include:
- Competent computer skills in Microsoft, Excel and MYOB with all-round office skills.
- Fluent written and verbal English skills, with an excellent ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- A positive can-do attitude and the ability to work through problems autonomously
- An easy-going attitude and the motivation to go the extra mile for clients and colleagues
- Punctual and reliable and a good work ethic
- Professional presentation
- The ability to work with Standard Cost, Landed Cost and Average Cost.
- Familiarity with bills of materials and inventory including stock-take and revaluations.
Hours - 9am to 2pm, 2-3 days per week approximately 10-15 hrs per week - Negotiable.
(During training, there is likely to be more hours)
