About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, we are looking for an experienced all round Bookkeeper who will assist in the day-to-day accounts and admin duties to ensure that all works are completed in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.
This role is a casual part-time role, where you will 3 days p/w with Monday or Friday as one of your set days with flexibility to work additional hours if the need arises. Hours will be between 7am – 4pm. Once fully trained there is the option of hybrid working arrangements from both our Southport Office and from home
The successful candidate will have a pro-active, can-do attitude where no task is too big or too small and has the ability to work in a fast-paced team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out accounts payable invoice receipting and payment preparation as well as accounts receivable
- Chase payments to ensure all debtors are up-to-date and follow the process to keep debtors to a minimum
- Carry out both credit card and bank reconciliations
- Investigate and reconcile discrepancies
- Processing vehicle registration & toll payments as well as any additional payments associated with the day-to-day administration of vehicles
- Adhere to the process that is in place for all activities that need to be paid, chased and actioned so that no payments and deadlines are missed
- Assist with ad-hoc duties and administrative duties as required daily
Required Skills & Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role as an experienced Bookkeeper carrying out all accounting functions including AP, AR, reconciliation, general ledger, processing payments, administration and data entry
- Strong Microsoft office skills including Word, Excel & Outlook with the ability to quickly learn in-house systems as well as fast and accurate data entry skills
- Excellent communication both verbal and written with the ability to build positive relationship with stakeholders
- Highly organised, with the ability to multi-task, prioritise, be pro-active yet stay calm whilst working in a busy environment
- Strong attention to detail is fundamental to successfully fulfilling this role
- Work autonomously whilst being part of a team, with a flexible attitude to work in a fast paced, changing environment.
- A clean open, manual driver’s license and have your own reliable transport
- Positive and can-do attitude to take on additional duties
