Key Accountabilities
As our bookkeeper, you will be working directly with our wonderful Office Manager, to ensure our team can focus on client needs by providing comprehensive bookkeeping services including:
- Updating the Xero file and Simpro Servicing Package for all bank transactions.
- Processing payroll, including wages and superannuation.
- Uploading supplier invoices into relevant software platforms.
- Managing payments for all supplier invoices and bank uploads.
- Handling debtor and creditor invoice-related queries.
- Reconciling bank/loan/credit card/hire purchase payments.
- Managing and reporting on leave entitlements and balances.
- Ensuring all job entries are invoiced.
- Providing budget reporting and other tasks as required.
- Prepare WorkCover remuneration
- Organise Vehicle and Depreciation Schedules
- Complete COINVEST (Longservice Leave Payments)
- Overseeing debt collection and monthly account reconciliations.
- Preparing financial reports and BAS for our accountant.
- Managing stock and inventory
- Procurement of materials and allocating expenses
- Invoice deposit reconciliation
- Assist our Office Manager as required
- Consult with our Accountant to ensure compliance.
Success Profile
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Relevant qualifications in Bookkeeping/Accounting/Finance.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a professional services environment, trade/plumbing would be advantageous.
- Strong working knowledge of Xero and Excel (and SIMPRO would be advantageous)
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- A systematic approach with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A commitment to confidentiality and quality client service.
- A willingness to help others, demonstrate initiative, and maintain high moral behavior.
