We are a Melbourne based Security company who offer services to hospitals and various healthcare facilities, retail stores, distribution centres, high profile sites and corporate buildings. We are looking for a hands-on Bookkeeper & Payroll Manager to oversee all aspects of payroll, accounting and financial reporting for our company.
About the role
In this position, you will manage the end-to-end payroll process, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, compliance and other accounting duties. You will also analyse payroll data and identify areas for efficiency improvements.
Duties:
- Manage all facets of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Perform end to end weekly Payroll - STP & Superannuation Payments.
- Bank Reconciliations
- Prepare and review End of Month reporting
- Demonstrate high volume payroll processing
- Demonstrate strong payroll system knowledge
- BAS reports
- Engage with key customers
- Demonstrate strong customer service to the highest level
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Willingness to use internal CRM and software
- Adhere to all payroll related queries and manage the payroll query inbox.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience working within a large payroll environment
- Perform full function payroll
- Advanced MYOB skills
- Excellent written, verbal & interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service
- Ability to handle staff queries diligently
- Confident using MS Office applications (Excel, Word & Outlook)
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and develop workplans to achieve deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously
- 5+ years combined experience in payroll and accounting.
