Job DescriptionWe are searching for a tenaciousBookkeeperto join a team of legal professionals inVictoria, British Columbia.Our client, is looking for a talented accountant to join their established and trusted team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting, coordinating, and enhancing existing accountingprocesses.
Bookkeeper responsibilities:
- General accounting and bookkeeping functions
- Accounts Receivable / Payables and Reconciliations
- Handling bank and credit card transactions on a weekly basis and proves expense reports
- Setting up supplier payments and invoices on a weekly or by-weekly account.
- Bank reconciliations
- Other duties as deemed necessary based upon business and/or department needs
- 5+ years of experience as full-cycle bookkeeper/accountant
- CA or legal background is an asset
- HR component an asset
- Knowledge of Quick Books
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize and organize
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), databases and accounting software, and aptitude to learn new programs
- Ability to build relationships
- The salary range is $75,000-$100,000 dependenton experience
