• Plan, organise and direct the packaging and logistics operations while ensuring the highest standards in our quality products
• Assist in scheduling and coordinating bottling activities, labour and plant resources
• Supervision of bottling staff to maintain safety, efficiency and quality standards
• Liaise with Winemaking team to ensure wine quality maintained
• Induction and training of new bottling line operators, along with resourcing and management of seasonal casual staff for the purposes of wine bottling/packaging
• Ensure all bottling/packaging operations are completed efficiently
• Monitor packaging operations ensuring food safety and quality parameters are controlled
• Monitor plant and equipment operation
• Maintain systems for cleaning, hygiene and water quality, to a high standard, for the packaging line and packaging hall, including all dry goods and finished stock
• Maintain safety standards and policies (PPE and safety guarding)
• Conduct team meetings with the bottling staff to communicate directives on quality and bottling objectives
• Assisting any other functional area of the winery when required/directed including vintage operations
Essential skills and experience for this role include:
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment; bottling, liquid filing, and/or packaging industry preferred.
• Understand and demonstrate OSH policies
• Previous winery / cellar experience desirable
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Able to work in a physically demanding environment
• Quality focussed
• Enthusiastic approach to work
• Current WA Work Safe High Risk forklift operator’s ticket

This is a physical job in a winery/production setting that will require long periods of standing, walking, lifting, climbing ladders and the ability to observe others and the work environment. This position may occasionally be exposed to wet or humid conditions, work near moving mechanical parts, outdoor power equipment, chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions.
