The Sit Down Comedy Club is currently on the lookout for a Box Office & Corporate BookingsOfficer to join our close-knit team!
Based at our Paddington, Brisbane office, the position is initially being offered on a part time basis (30-35 hours per week), with a view to becoming full-time for the right candidate. The role is predominately a Monday to Friday desk-based role but does include the occasional evening/weekend shift.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Attend to general enquiries via email & phone from internal and external stakeholders;
- Process phone, counter and internet sales and related administrative tasks including managing reservations, exchanges, refunds, gift vouchers and patron complaints;
- Actively source, generate and convert new and existing leads with Corporate/Business Event clients;
- Identify and develop corporate packages and offerings for corporate clients;
- Proactively nurture corporations and businesses through every step of an event’s booking process;
- Generate regular reporting on sales targets, trends, and client feedback for review and insight;
- Work collaboratively with all members of the SDCC team to ensure open and clear communication is maintained across the organisation;
- Other duties as reasonably requested by the SDCC management team.
As the successful candidate, you will have:
Essential Skills/Traits
- 2+ years of experience in a reception/administrative and/or corporate sales type role;
- An interest and desire to build a long-term career within live entertainment production and promotion;
- Customer service and conflict resolution skills;
- First-class written English skills with an excellent eye for detail and exemplary proofreading ability;
- Keen problem solving abilities;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines; and
- A positive attitude with excellent self-motivation and ability to work to your own initiative;
- Knowledge of software programs including Microsoft Office Suite;
- Ability to occasionally work nights and weekends at live performances, as required.
- Open Drivers License (Manual preferred)
Desirable Skills/Traits
- Knowledge of the Australian comedy industry
- Previous experience using ticketing software (TicketSearch or Seat Advisor Box Office preferred)
