About the opportunity
The Box Office Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Seymour Centre's Box Office and leadership of a small team of casual staff. The position oversees customer service and ticket sales, and works closely with the programming, marketing, and venue teams.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- oversee the Seymour Centre's Box Office operation and provide high level customer service
- manage escalated patron inquiries and issues from Box Office staff, including declined credit cards, complaints and refund issues
- monitor sales process ensuring a seamless end-to-end customer experience is consistently delivered
- manage a team of part-time and casual staff, ensuring staffing levels are correct and reflect Box Office requirements
- work with the Box Office Coordinator to prepare and lodge banking reports to the Finance Officer for each day's trading, including resolution of any anomalies
- induction and training of new staff in Seymour Centre and Box Office procedures
- build and promote positive relationships with all other departments, including representing the Box Office at meetings and offering advice to ensure that optimum levels of sales and customer service are maintained.
About you
- previous experience with ticketing software, preferably ENTA
- has proven experience in a similar role within a large matrix organisation
- provides high level customer service and ability to conduct operational tasks around Box Office management
- exemplary leadership experience across all employment types and ensures staffing levels are correct
- collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimum levels of customer service are maintained.
